As a TV beat reporter, I'm responsible for keeping tabs all on things retail, particularly details that develop with publicly-traded retailers. From researching stories, booking and conducting interviews, writing scripts and web articles, and ultimately the on-air presentation, it all falls under my daily responsibilities. While retail is my main responsibility, I also cover stock and commodity markets for CNBC's various platforms and partners. My favorite part of my job is telling stories, and I get to do just that on a daily basis, and I carry it with a great deal of responsibility. Minute details in reports can, and do, move stock prices, and sometimes the broader market. As a result, I treat my reporting with a great deal of respect, care and responsibility.
