Claim your profileAs a Supervising Editor for NPR's All Thing's Considered and our daily podcast Consider This, I'm part of the editorial leadership team shaping stories, interviews and the sound of NPR’s flagship afternoon news magazine. I work collaboratively with other members of the program's leadership to select each day’s stories, and I help plan long-term coverage.I identify key stories and newsmaker interviews, and work with the ATC staff and across NPR's newsroom to bring them to air. I conceptualize, script and prepare hosts for newsmaker and feature interviews. I've lead many of the distinct and deeply reported series anchored by NPR's hosts, and I've been the hand editing NPR's coverage during some of the biggest breaking news stories of the last few years including the January 6th attack on the US Capitol.I'm a broadcast journalist with nearly two decades experience I've been a local reporter in the quintessential middle American town, Peoria, Illinois, and I've worked at some of the premiere broadcast news programs including Ted Koppel's Nightine.I have deep expertise in both long-form and short-form story telling across a wide range of topics including politics, science, technology, foreign affairs, the economy and the arts.I enjoy collaborating with other editors/producers, correspondents and hosts/anchors to craft stories and to find and book the most interesting and relevant guests on stories of the moment.Skilled at crafting and honing an interviews and stories.
