Claim your profileI have nearly 20 years of experience as a news and sports reporter. I am currently the Germantown/Collierville suburban reporter for the Commercial Appeal. I was previously a staff writer for nearly five years at the Memphis Business Journal. I covered a variety of beats, including travel and tourism, restaurants, retail, logistics and transportation, banking and finance, sports business, airport, diversity, equity an inclusion and Greater Memphis Chamber. I am an award-winning journalist who won first place in category of business writing dallies only in the 2017 North Carolina Press Association Contest and part of the staff that won the O. Henry Award, which recognizes outstanding writing in Associated Press newspapers in North Carolina. I previously worked almost five years as the education and business reporter at the Rocky Mount Telegram. My experience as a journalist also includes four years as a sports writer at the Richmond County Daily Journal. I worked three years as a general assignment reporter at the Sumter Daily Item. I have strong written and oral communications skills along with the ability to thrive in a fast pace workplace environment.
