Claim your profileCody Mello-Klein is a reporter, photographer and podcast host at the Alexandria Times and a freelance entertainment journalist. He is a recent graduate of Northeastern University's journalist Master's program. His work has appeared on Kotaku, Heroes Never, Game Informer, WCVB, and a number of other publications kind enough to accept his particular brand of nerdy passion. He generally writes about video games and pop culture and the ways they intersect with broader cultural conversations, how the stories that entertain us can affect the world we live in. He's also written about everything from Greek anarchists to the tense relationship between Boston students and police. Whether he's covering video games, schools, or politics, Cody remains focused on writing and reporting the stories that matter to people in local communities. Before freelancing, Cody served as the senior news editor for Two Left Sticks, a small startup video game news site, and even worked as a narrative designer and brand writer for the Northeastern Game Studio and Hasbro respectively. When he's not writing about arts and culture or playing video games, Cody can be found playing the only three chords he knows on guitar or scouring the pop culture landscape for good stories.
