Claim your profileClaire currently works as a Reporter for the Northwest Herald in Crystal Lake, Illinois, where she reports on the McHenry County municipalities of Huntley, Lake in the Hills and Woodstock, in addition to the McHenry County Board. She began her career at Epic Systems outside Madison, Wisconsin, where her responsibilities included collaborating with colleagues on software development and projects and updating customer-facing documentation. Before Epic, she attended the University of Illinois and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. She worked at The Daily Illini while at Illinois, where a story she wrote about the University's financial aid program won an ICPA award. She also served as Sports Digital Content Editor in her time there, working to bring creative storytelling methods to the newspaper. She is passionate about journalism and technology, and their impacts on society.
