I am a De Anza College student transfer student now attending San Jose State University to finish my B.A. in journalism. I have already finished my A.A. and I am hungry for experience. Being a part of the student newspaper there has been essential to my growth as a journalist. From being a staff writer, to news editor and finally as executive editor, I have learned all of the key tools a journalist needs for the real world. I have experience in taking photo's and video and have won awards for videos. I model myself after professional organizations so that the experience I get from this organization, translates into the real world and through my experience, I am ready to tackle the real world of journalism. Outside of school, I have been working in restaurants since the age of 15 and I have developed various customer service skills that I believe give me a strong edge because working in a restaurant has given me organizational, management and people skills which has helped me exponentially in the newsroom.
