I'm a scribe, a journalist, a marketer, a sports entrepreneur, and a dad, not necessarily in that order.I founded and run Equity.Guru, an online financial investment opportunity media outlet aimed at a younger crowd, which since 2015 has an impeccable track record of honesty, integrity, humour, and accuracy. We're an anomaly in the stockmarket awareness space - a publication read by the regulators when they need accurate and actionable information.Our differentiator is we tell the truth, be it about a client company or otherwise. In the Canadian smallcap space, that's a marketing niche, but it's one that means our audience trusts us, and *real* companies value us as partners, Equity Guru is my day job, but after hours I work for fun - I'm on the board and a part owner of English professional football club Altrincham FC, I co-founded and direct Nation Extreme Wrestling, which runs live events in Vancouver and can be seen on Telus TV across Western Canada, I'm also chair and coach at Richmond FC, I'm on the board of my local district soccer association, and I invest in startups.I've help literally hundreds of companies, from private startups to public companies, figure out how to present themselves to potential investors, and am happy to chat to any executive that would like to be exposed to an audience of real investors, as opposed to daytraders, in sectors from mining to AI, med tech to oil and gas, and biotech to agriculture.
