An succinct explanation of the forecast gives the viewer an understanding of the intricacies of synoptic and microscale meteorology. As a station scientist, my education and passion for science is put on display for the newsroom and viewing public. As a communicator, my job is not only to present the weather, but provide the information for the public in order to take the appropriate steps to prepare, survive, and recover for major weather events. I have given numerous talks and presentations to the public and professionals, emceed various events, and been featured on FOX News Channel and The Weather Channel.
