I earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism/history from University of West Georgia in Carrollton and associate's degree from Abraham Baldwin College in Tifton. Have won approximately 100 awards from the Georgia Press Association, National Newspaper Association and Georgia Sports Writers Association. Two-time winner of the coveted Furman Bisher Sweepstakes Award for sports journalism excellence. Covered high school football since 1988. Will always have a place in my heart for Friday Night Lights.
