Claim your profileI'm a writer, editor, radio producer, musician and photographer in Chicago focused on climate change and environmental journalism. I produce and report for Here & Now, which is heard by 5 million listeners each week across hundreds of NPR member stations nationwide. I have also edited the show, appeared live on air, and I host our podcast, Here & Now Anytime. Previously I was a freelance reporter for PRI's The World, The Atlantic's CityLab and many other outlets. I was a climate fellow with The GroundTruth Project, a Transatlantic Media Fellow with the Heinrich Böll Foundation, Midwest Editor of The Architect's Newspaper, and a reporter for WBEZ's Curious City. My radio work has appeared on stations and networks including NPR, PRI, PRX, WBUR, WGBH, WBEZ, RIPR, and The GroundTruth Project podcast. My writing has been published in outlets including The New York Times' Green blog, The Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine, and Architect magazine. I have a masters degree in journalism from the Medill School at Northwestern University, where I was a Comer Scholar for climate change reporting, and an ISEN Cluster Fellow studying sustainability and energy. I earned my BS in Natural Resources with Distinction in Research from Cornell University, where I was science editor and senior photographer for the Cornell Daily Sun.
