Claim your profileChasity Maynard is a leader and innovator in multimedia storytelling. She specializes in investigative reporting, digital storytelling and feature photography. Chasity uses her writing and visual skills to challenge traditional storytelling methods by integrating data, records, photos, video and long-form writing tactics to make news more understandable, relatable and accessible. Her projects usually focus on underrepresented communities, especially women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities and low-income communities. Chasity was recognized as a Hearst Photojournalism Championship finalist, a honor widely considered among the highest awards a young journalist can receive. Other notable recognitions she has earned include digital, investigative and environmental awards from the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists, the Mark of Excellence award from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Florida Magazine Association Charlie Award. Chasity’s work has been featured in the AP, the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Tampa Bay Times, NBC News and other publications internationally.
