I am a journalist based in Kansas City, Missouri with a passion for journalism that emphasizes accountability and highlights the issues affecting vulnerable communities. I am currently an assistant editor at The Beacon, a nonprofit news outlet covering Kansas and Missouri, where our stories focus on public accountability through a solutions journalism lens. I am dedicated to using storytelling as a medium that focuses on the experiences of marginalized groups, shares the voices of those who are often ignored, and holds the accountable powerful to the public.
