I grew up in rural Wisconsin surrounded by picturesque lakes, forests, and fields of cows. After graduating high school, I traded the cows for corn and moved to Iowa to study journalism and history at Drake University. Now I’m a part-time digital nomad, traveling across the country to find out what life outside the Midwest has to offer. As an Updates Editor for Forbes Home, I specialized in writing and editing articles on a range of home improvement topics. Before joining the Forbes Home team, I was an editorial apprentice at Travel + Leisure magazine. While I still love all things travel, today I am especially passionate about creating DIY and interior design content. I also try to sprinkle in a bit of history whenever I can.
