Claim your profileCarolyn is an Audience Engagement Producer at Southern California News Group. She was a part of the L.A. Times Internship Class of 2022 where she worked on the Audience Engagement team, where she was able to learn the ins and outs of content optimization and digital audience growth. While at California State University, Northridge she worked on the student newspaper, the Daily Sundial. She spent her first semester on the paper as the Social Media Editor where she redesigned and restructured their social media presence. The following semester she was asked to return to the paper as Managing Editor. In addition to overseeing the staff, she launched the publication's weekly newsletter. Before her time at CSUN, she was the Editor in Chief for the Corsair Newspaper in Santa Monica. During her time at the Corsair, the publication received numerous awards and recognition under her leadership, including being named "Best College Newspaper" by the Los Angeles Press Club. Outside of her passion for journalism, she also has a strong interest in content creation and enjoys creating popular videos in the Do-It-Yourself and Craft field. She also has many years of acting experience from her background in Theatre Arts which she has an associate degree in from Santa Barbara City College. She is excited to bring her skills in content creation, audience engagement, and leadership to new opportunities in the field of journalism and beyond.
