After earning a PhD in biology, I made the leap to science journalism via an AAAS Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellowship at NPR. My writing has appeared in TED-Ed, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, PNAS Front Matter, New Scientist, Science News, Slate, NPR, and other outlets. I'm available for short and long-term writing and editing roles, as well as speaking and teaching engagements. You can learn more about me and my services at carolynbeans.com
