I am a highly experienced communications professional with experience in media relations at one of the UK's busiest press offices. I'm an expert in reactive and crisis communications and I've regularly worked on stories that have hit the national headlines.I have advised senior policing leaders and represented the UK's biggest police force in numerous meetings to provide crisis communictaions advice. I have worked with colleagues in internal and digital commuinciations to develop communication strategies that reach a range of audiences across different channels.I am calm under pressure and have developed a strong news sense from my 10 years as a journalist working for daily and weekly newspapers. I have also managed and supported a team of up to 10 people on a daily basis.I am creative and willing to try new or emerging social media channels to reach different audiences or tell a story in a different way.
