Claim your profileJournalist Bruce Finley covers an array of topics as a staff enterprise reporter for the Denver Post. He has focused on environment and climate issues -- the air, land and water struggles shaping Colorado and the West -- and global news, from war in Iraq to supply chains, and has done on-site reporting in 40 countries. Bruce grew up in Colorado, a fourth-generation resident, graduated from Stanford University, then earned masters degrees in international relations as a Fulbright Scholar in Britain and in journalism at Northwestern University. He later earned a J.D. at the University of Denver law school and is a licensed lawyer and certified mediator. He has guest-taught at the Colorado College. His international work included multiple assignments in Africa, Central America, the Middle East, and Iraq before, during and after the U.S. invasion. After the 9/11 attacks, he worked in Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Yemen. He has won numerous awards including a 2021 Society of Environmental Journalists award for Outstanding Investigative Reporting.
