Claim your profileBrianne Ledda is a reporter at Newsday Media Group, covering the Town of Islip. She previously worked for Times Review Media Group, where she reported news on the North Fork of Long Island for The Suffolk Times and Riverhead News Review. She's a Stony Brook University alumna ('21), where she graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College with a B.A. in journalism and minors in history and environmental studies. At Stony Brook, she was the editor-in-chief at her campus newspaper, The Statesman, where she guided the publication through a digital-first transition during the pandemic. In the past, she's held internships at WSHU Public Radio, Royal Media via the Dow Jones News Fund and the Fire Island Chronicle. Her work has been recognized by several leading media organizations, including the Edward R. Murrow Awards, Hearst Journalism Awards, New York Press Association and Press Club of Long Island.
