I am currently an Overnight News Editor at The Mirror, having worked for the wider Reach Plc’s News Wire for several years. After being approached by the recruiter with the exciting News Wire opportunity as part of a new project, I moved back to Reach Plc to further my career with new responsibilities. My team sourced and curated news content for publications all over the world.I'm also a visiting lecturer in journalism at South Bank University and have given guest lectures at Birmingham City University. Prior to these roles, I was a tabloid hack and sub-editor for years. I was a multimedia journalist and for Daily Mirror for a significant period of time.I was a journalist for News Team International, part of South West News Service, the UK's largest independent news agency. My work was published in most of the national newspapers and their websites. I have had page leads in Birmingham Mail, Liverpool Echo, Western Mail and their websites with original multimedia.I studied the NCTJ-accredited MA Newspaper Journalism at Cardiff University. I am also a Media and Communications Studies - (Journalism) (BA Hons) graduate at Birmingham City University. I have experience with a number of high-profile publications and organisations, including Channel 4, Liverpool Echo, Birmingham Mail, South Wales Echo, Western Mail, South Wales Argus, Worcester News, Solihull News, Solihull Observer and others. I have experience in print, online and broadcast journalism, as well as other areas of the media, such as PR and Media Law.In 2014, I made the final shortlist for the Mirror Group graduate scheme. I beat hundreds of other applicants to reach the final 12 in the UK, of which three were later employed as trainee journalists with Trinity Mirror.
