Claim your profileMy journalism started with writing for small mountain town community dailies and weeklies and has included stints at editing two rootsy and venerable weekly papers in Colorado, The now-defunct Vail Trail (where I "guest-edited" a few times, and the Ten Mile Times, in Summit County. I shifted to writing a lot about climate in the early 2000s, and it's now my main focus. The shift from print to digital age early in my journalism career was really quite something to experience! I felt like I was living at the end of the horse and buggy age! I switched to journalism in a mid-life career change in the mid-90s. Before that I worked primarily in the nonprofit hospitality sector, ie youth hostels.
