Claim your profileBlessing Eghonghon Otoibhi serves as a Multimedia Journalist and Social Media Manager at the International Centre for Investigative Reporting. She holds a degree in Linguistics from the University of Abuja, Nigeria, and commenced her journalism career as an Intern Reporter. Her dedication and contributions led to a full-time position, subsequently transitioning to the Social Media unit of the ICIR.In 2022, Otoibhi participated in the National Broadcast Academy program, sponsored by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, where she acquired skills in Basic Presentation, earning certification as a Broadcaster. The following year, she became a fellow in the Social Media Marketing program sponsored by the Allianz by Nova Diamond Foundation. This experience enriched her expertise in social media optimization, engagement, digital marketing, among other areas.Blessing has been recognized for her outstanding contributions, receiving both the Staff of the Year and Amplifier of the Year awards. Her versatile skill set includes networking, communication, and a profound understanding of the digital landscape.Beyond her professional pursuits, Blessing is deeply passionate about advocating for equality and amplifying the voices of those affected by gender and social injustice. She currently volunteers for the Sickle Cell Aid Foundation in Abuja, where she actively raises awareness on issues related to sickle cell anemia.
