Claim your profileIn my current role, I co-anchor four hours of news each morning and report from the field; turning franchise and special projects stories. I also field anchor newscasts and special events programming from our community with live, long-form, unscripted coverage. In the newsroom, I excel at collaborating with producers to craft opens, teases, and segments that creatively and effectively showcase content across linear, OTT, digital and social platforms. Originally hired as a general assignment reporter, I’ve covered major breaking stories ranging from the Virginia Tech massacre to the aftermath of a deadly tornado outbreak. In 2008, I was promoted to anchoring weathercasts, in addition to reporting duties. I became anchor of the morning and midday newscasts in 2010, helping lead a team of 15 journalists wake up a metro area of 1.8 million people.
