I'm the editor of the English edition of the Italian newspaper il manifesto. I’ve worked on staff at the Bangkok Post, the South Florida Sun Sentinel and the Naples Daily News. As an editorial consultant, I’ve collaborated with a number of publications and NGOs, including UNHCR, Transparency International and Publish What You Pay. In 2014, I founded Latterly, an independent magazine reporting on human rights, politics and conflict. Our work has been co-published with and talked about by Newsweek, Smithsonian Magazine, VentureBeat, the Columbia Journalism Review and others. In January 2018, I began working as a copywriter for ProtonMail, a free encrypted email service provider developed by CERN scientists. And in March 2020, I launched The Portager, a newsletter for Portage County, Ohio. Along with my wife, I’ve previously lived and worked in the Dominican Republic, Thailand, Jordan and Italy.
