Claim your profileI write, I think, I edit. I rewrite, rethink, and re-edit. I approach my work with a creative spirit and a commitment to telling stories factually, honestly, and with fairness. As my full-time job, I am an arts reporter for the Winnipeg Free Press, where I tend to focus on theatre, music, film, and quirky stories about interesting people. I love to take on challenges in my work, and am constantly learning more about my areas of coverage through independent research. As a freelancer, I have been published in the Globe and Mail, Maclean's, Chatelaine, Toronto Life, Broadview, Canadian Business, Sharp Magazine, the Eyeopener, the Ryerson Review of Journalism, the West End Phoenix, Stylus Magazine, Reader's Digest, and the Uniter. I've also written content for business clients, including project proposals, promotional materials, and branded publications. I am open to conversations about freelance content writing which does not directly compete with my Free Press duties. My interests are wide-ranging, and I'm always excited to tackle new projects regardless of the topic. I have a passion for advertising and smart writing that treats its audience as intelligent readers. In my spare time, I draw, write, take guitar lessons, play basketball, tennis and soccer, and start more books than I could ever finish. I love my niece, I love my dogs, and I love my family.
