Claim your profileI graduated from New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire in 2014 with a degree in Communications with a focus in Journalism. After graduating, I was hired to be the Editor of a weekly newspaper, the County Courier based in Enosburg, Vermont. During my tenure as the newspaper editor, I was responsible for writing and editing news articles and doing copy checks prior to printing. I also managed a small team of freelance writers and was responsible for checking and maintaining the company's email account. I decided to take a break from journalism to pursue a job in education. I student taught Humanities at Essex Middle School before choosing to take a route in special education to focus solely on helping students with learning disabilities and provide others with emotional and behavioral support. I worked within the school district at both Essex Middle School and Albert D. Lawton middle school. I also took up coaching sports and ended up coaching cross country and track and field for four seasons as well as coaching both boys and girls basketball. The cross country team won 3 out of 4 of the last Vermont Middle School State Championships. After COVID-19, I decided it was the right time to get back into journalism and recently accepted a job as a Digital Content Producer for Local 22/44 News (MyChamplainValley).
