Hello, my name is Aydian Ahmad and I am a passionate, motivated individual who is looking to establish a career in media. I am a multi-skilled journalist who is extremely adaptable and learns quickly. My skills range from digital production and analytics to broadcast writing and production, to video editing. I am also proficient in AP Style and possess researching, reporting, and writing skills.My first job out of college was serving as a digital content producer for KTXL FOX40 News. My role consisted of writing and publishing articles to the company website, copyediting, understanding analytics and social media, and video editing. After a year and a half in California, I came back to my home state, however, to a community that I’m experiencing for the first time: Jacksonville. I am now working as a digital content producer for WJXT, the number one station in the Jacksonville market, and am building upon the skills I crafted in college and California, while also adding new ones to my repertoire. I have also spent time as a student broadcaster doing play-by-play commentary for the University of Florida's basketball, baseball, and softball teams.My heart belongs to the sports world, but I truly love covering news in all forms at the highest level possible, whether that’s writing stories, creating a television package or covering a game.
