With over 9 years of media experience, I am adept in dealing with the community, connecting with sources, and developing enterprising stories. My experience has made me highly versatile in many areas. I’ve covered quick day turn investigative stories, to longer in-depth investigative stories. I have experience working under tight deadlines. I have successfully covered stories that have led to action or laws being formed, as a result of my investigations. For example, I reported on a series of investigative pieces involving a slumlord in the St. Louis region. From these stores the Senator stepped in to form a law to prevent landlords from taking advantage of tenants. These stories also lead to action from the City and County to take action to hold this landlord responsible. In the past two years I have worked as a Reporter with News 4 (KMOV). Within that capacity, I’ve covered local stories that impact residents in the St. Louis area. I’ve interviewed elected officials and community leaders on a range of stories. I’ve also managed my social media platform on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. My skills and experience have taught me how to build strong relationships internally as well as externally. I am a versatile communicator who works well with others. I easily adapt to change and am able and always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.
