Claim your profileAnthony DeBarros has combined skills in software product development, data analysis, journalism and coding for much of his career. He's currently a data journalist for The Wall Street Journal, focused on money in politics, elections, demographics and the economy. In recent roles, he held director- and executive-level positions in product development and content strategy. The second edition of his book, "Practical SQL: A Beginner's Guide to Storytelling with Data," was published in 2022 by No Starch Press. Before the WSJ, he worked for USA TODAY, the B2B publishing and events firm Questex, the Poughkeepsie Journal newspaper, and the DocumentCloud project for Investigative Reporters and Editors. His work has received multiple honors, including a Silver Baton from the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards.
