Ann Wycoff, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist whose specialty is psychological testing. Prior to starting her agency, she conducted testing for schools, the court system and businesses for ten years. She had her own baby at age 40 and was concerned about returning to work. Her clinical experience with patients showed her how vitally important the quality of care in the early years is to a child's healthy emotional development. She used sophisticated personality screening to find her own nanny, and was so pleased with the excellent match she selected, that she and her nanny started Safe and Sound Nannies to help parents find the best nanny possible for their child. Dr. Wycoff partnered with another psychologist to develop her own personality screening instrument. It has been scientifically validated and normed on thousands of nanny candidates to optimize it's predictive ability. She draws on her ongoing nanny selection experience to continually analyze new data and refine the instrument.
