Claim your profileAnn Emmerich is the evening news anchor for WILX-TV 10, delivering the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. broadcasts.A proud graduate of Central Michigan University, Ann is an award-winning journalist whose work has been recognized at both the regional and national levels. She most recently earned a Regional Emmy for Specialty Assignment Reporting and, in 2023, received both a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award and an Emmy for her feature, “Champions of the Heart.”Ann’s investigative work has also made a significant impact. In 2012, she won a Regional Emmy for “Addressing 911,” an investigative report that exposed critical issues within Ingham County’s 911 consolidation. Her excellence in reporting and anchoring has been further recognized by the Associated Press and the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.Beyond journalism, Ann’s dedication to community service is evident. She was named Humanitarian of the Year by the Ingham County Animal Shelter in 2011 and continues to be deeply involved in Mid-Michigan. She serves on the board of The Champions of the Heart Foundation and actively supports the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and the Tri-County Office on Aging.Family is at the heart of Ann’s life. She and her husband, Tom, have been married for 37 years and are the proud parents of three sons—Edward, Daniel, and Tom. She also cherishes her role as Nana to her grandson, Brooks.
