Claim your profileAnissa is a health data reporter who centers her reporting on communities of color, specifically the Black community. In 2023 she wrote about the adultification of Black children and how this leads to lifelong mental health struggles, with the support of the USC health reporting fellowship. She has written about medical debt, suicide rates, health misinformation, medical mistrust, and so much more. Anissa's work has been featured in STAT, Word In Black, inewsource, The San Diego Union-Tribune, Los Angeles Times, The Objective, and OutVoice Pay.
