Claim your profileAndrea Medina works as a MMJ/Reporter in Cincinnati, OH. She has been working in TV news for nearly 7 years and she’s what you call a “do it all” journalist. She shoots, writes and edits stories daily. She uses her curiosity to search for answers, amplify voices, inform and educate the community.Andrea is a Chicago native who grew up on the Southwest Side. She is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she studied broadcast journalism and political science. Andrea got her first break in the business as a news topical producer in Champaign. Since then, she has also reported in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois along the banks of the Mississippi River.Since moving to the Queen City, Andrea has covered general assignment stories and guided viewers through major events. Such as the reopening of schools during the COVID-19 pandemic, historic tornado damage that moved through Western Kentucky, to the many protests for racial equality and the Cincinnati Bengals reaching their first Super Bowl in 33 years during the 2021 NFL season.Outside of work, she loves visiting loved ones in Chicago, traveling, trying new restaurants and being a dog mom to four dachshunds: Mimi, Mio, Milo and Moochi.
