Claim your profileI am a journalist by trade and a scientist by degree. I currently work as a reporter for a local paper in North Carolina. My technical beat is transportation, but I write about anything from business openings to local government happenings.I graduated Warren Wilson College in 2022 with a bachelors of science degree in Biology. I have a passion for botany and herbaria work, having designed a senior capstone project using herbarium specimens and participated in two herbarium-based research internships.In my time at Wilson, I helped revive the student newspaper, The Echo, and served as it's Editor-in-chief. I also peer-tutored at the Writing Center for two years before collaborating with the director to develop a Science Writing Fellows program to better support science writers.
