I'm the managing editor of English-language news website, the Buenos Aires Herald.I believe in journalism that moves the needle: my reporting on Bolivia's 2019 political crisis was cited in Bernie Sanders' letter to the US congress, while a scoop about delivery app workers being made to carry drugs beat Argentina's national press and was described by local readers as "one of the stories of the year". In 2014, I received the Izethelo award for journalism in the South African fruit industry as part of the FOODNEWS team. A feature I co-authored for the Norwegian Air magazine won the "Best Latin America Round-up Feature of the Year Award" at the LATA Media awards. I write for outlets including the BBC, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, Vice, The Independent, Lonely Planet, The Lancet, and several others. While living in Cochabamba, Bolivia, I worked as director of Performing Life International's social circus programme. I directed a programme active in two centres, with a team of three paid instructors and up to five local and international volunteers.I was responsible for ensuring that children in our programme had a rewarding, beneficial and educational experience in the foundation that helped them to grow as people, learn about the world, and improve their futures through the arts. Our project was highlighted in the 2019 United Nations Youth Solutions Report.
