Claim your profileA journalist with more than 20 years print, online and broadcast experience, I co-founded Eye For Film and have helped it grow into a leading UK film publication that is respected around the world. I am a long-standing sub-editor and feature writer and a member of FIPRESCI, the international federation of film critics, and the Online Film Critics Society. I accept freelance commissions for both editing and writing. My byline appears regularly in Screen International and has featured in The Times, Daily Telegraph, Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Moviescope, Filmmaker Magazine, Daily Record, Sunday Mail and Mirror among others. I currently write on a freelance basis for Screen International.I have experience of film festival programming and running writers' and editors' workshops, including co-developing a programme for and mentoring young journalists at Edinburgh International Film Festival, I have also co-run a workshop for young critics at Warsaw Film Festival for several years. I have served on a number of FIPRESCI juries, including Gijón, Seattle, Tallinn, Palm Springs and San Sebastian. I'm also available for speaking and Q&A engagements and have moderated numerous Q&As at festivals including Edinburgh, Glasgow and the French Film Festival UK as well as one-off engagements for distributors including Verve Pictures.
