Claim your profileEmmy-nominated, energetic and experienced reporter and meteorologist. Currently serving as the Midday and 5 pm weekday meteorologist for WGN News in Chicago. Previously served as a reporter and fill-in meteorologist at WGN. While serving in 'hybrid' roles for the past decade, I've cultivated a unique set of skills that allow me to be the utility player of every newsroom I work in. Known as a bulldog reporter in the field who enjoys digging for more and building solid contacts to ensure the full story is told every time. Extensive experience reporting on breaking news, politics, investigative stories and severe weather. Also a dynamic and knowledgeable in-studio meteorologist who is comfortable leading wall-to-wall coverage during severe weather events. Experienced in covering all forms of extreme weather as a reporter and in-studio forecaster including tornadoes, wildfires, snowstorms, flooding, windstorms and thunderstorms. Considered a newsroom leader who wants to see everyone on the team succeed. Shows confidence and enthusiasm on-air with the versatility to switch from serious content to lighthearted stories with ease. Several years of anchor fill-in work in past markets. Ability to seamlessly shift from one specialty to another. Colleagues say I am easy to work with, a quality I think deserves more kudos in an industry that is so dependent on collaboration.
