Her work has appeared in Washington Monthly as well as on the BBC, CBS, and American Prestige. She has reported in Costa Rica on climate change, immigration, and energy, and was awarded the Aspen Ideas Ifill Fellowship in 2023 and the Penn Kemble Fellowship in 2024. A Chicago native, Alexandra studied magazine journalism and international studies at the University of Missouri.
