Currently, I am the communications and marketing manager at The War Memorial in Grosse Pointe Farms. In this role, I am tasked with overseeing our public image and perception, as well as providing support and promotion for various events and sales initiatives. I formerly worked at C&G Newspapers as a news reporter covering Macomb Township, Clinton Township, Chippewa Valley Schools, L'Anse Creuse Public Schools and Selfridge Air National Guard Base. Responsibilities for this fun and creative position include reporting, editing and covering all aspects of community news. I have worked on engaging and accurate news stories with a flair for features. Capable of cultivating sources and generating story ideas, handle multiple assignments every week. Collaborated with the news editor and fellow reporters to ensure we were publishing essential community news that would engage readers and grow the audience. In 2017 I worked with 99.5 WYCD and 104.3 WOMC as a promotions coordinator with CBS Radio I graduated from Oakland University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and a minor in English. I completed my public affairs and marketing internship at the United States Army Garrison Detroit Arsenal in 2015.
