Claim your profileI report and write investigative articles related to Chicago-area and government. I have seven years of experience reporting on politics, crime, education, transportation, real estate and city government in Chicago. At The Real Deal, I reported news and trends in residential, commercial and industrial real estate across the Chicago region. I spent 18 months as a crime and breaking news reporter for DNAinfo Chicago, and another year covering the city's Far Northwest Side. Before that, I covered education and criminal justice while studying journalism at Northwestern University. As a result of long-term study abroad experiences in Venezuela and Jordan, I speak Spanish fluently and Arabic proficiently.
