Claim your profileI have been a journalist for 17 years focusing mostly on the political, social and economic situation of Afghanistan. I started my journalistic career with the Private Tolo TV of Moby Group in 2005 Kabul, Afghanistan and joined the BBC World Service in London in 2009. My career journey has been full of learning, excitement and achievements. I have travelled across Afghanistan as a journalist reporting on all walks of life in that country. I have also extensively travelled across the globe to cover events, interview personalities and produce reports and documentaries. In 2021, my BBC documentary, “Killing Hope” won the prestigious AIB Media Awards. I’m passionate about journalism, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Central Asia and the Middle East. My studies have been focused on economics, finance and development and I have been doing extensive studies in these areas and have written many articles in both areas. I also love European history and am reading about it all the time. I have also worked as a translator and interpreter with the European Union, European Parliament and FCO. I’m a passionate skater, love sports, travelling and driving.
