Standing on a sweet spot where journalism and technology intersect, I want to be a part of the future of journalism. As a reporter, used to work for a Japanese local daily for almost seven years. In addition to the reporting experience, I learned data visualization and interactive storytelling skills at Northwestern University. Now, I'm working for Bloomberg as a data journalist to tell stories on the Web in ways that they never could have otherwise. We are in the midst of the biggest transition from print to digital, when a journalist can cast a spell on people by coding. I believe we journalists can be wizards, and stories can be more immersive, interactive and entertaining as people want.
