Claim your profileWarren Buckleitner is an educational researcher and product reviewer with a specialty in the design of interactive media. He's currently an Assistant Professor at The College of New Jersey where he teaches design and creative technology; including a class on the Methods of Fred Rogers. He covered children’s technology for the New York Times for over a decade. In 2001 he created the Dust or Magic Institute www.dustormagic.com, an annual meeting of leading designers, researchers and reviewers, with the intention to share examples of best practice in media. He helped create the annual BolognaRagazzi Digital Prize and the KAPi Awards at CES — both annual juried prizes. He has taught in NYU's ITP program, Rutgers GSE and Michigan State University; and was named a Senior Fellow to the Fred Rogers Institute. He holds a BS in Elementary Education (cum laude), an MS in Human Development and a doctorate in educational psychology (Learning, Technology & Culture) from Michigan State University. He is married with two daughters, and enjoys playing the trumpet. Specialties: human development, interactive design, preschool and elementary education, music.
