In my full-time position at Wirecutter, I oversee our coverage of air and water quality, and have developed deep and extensive knowledge of air and water purification, the agencies and institutions that certify consumer products in these categories, and the public-health issues created by America's aging water infrastructure and unaddressed air pollution. In my freelance work, I have focused on heavy industry (mining, aerospace, forging) and infrastructure (roads, railroads, ports), and their impact on national economics, globalization, and the environment. For this, I was honored as one of Esquire's "Best & Brightest" in December 2013.
