As a Producer, Reporter, Executive Producer and now News Director I have been able to leverage my passions for people, strategy, storytelling and fact-based decision making. My diverse newsroom experiences have included Local Management Agreements, multi-media operations, market leaders, and turnarounds in three companies and seven markets. These managerial roles and responsibilities have given me solid experience crafting and executing excellence in communicating vision and strategy both internally to staff and externally to partners and stakeholders. The News industry has taught me to make solid data-based and timely decisions that would serve my community whether it was in Tulsa, Oklahoma or Atlanta, Georgia. The responsibility of managing a multi-million-dollar budget has required the skills to understand the balance of delivering short term ROI, while developing long term sustainable growth plans. I find the ever changing landscape and disruption in the broadcast television industry as an invigorating challenge. Finding ways to maximize the television audience and revenue while growing consumers’ use of social, digital and streaming platforms is what I energetically face every day.
