I’m a content strategist and consultant with a love of content design, a freelance journalist and product manager. I'm all about the content and all about the user - and I’ll help you to be as well. I can help you untangle your digital communications and get your message across clearly. I draw out compelling stories for you to share, so you attract the right people to your site. Plus I help you keep your site clean and clutter-free, so those people can easily find everything they need. I run my own content consultancy, Locke Digital Ltd. Clients have included the British Standards Institute (BSI) and B2B publisher Informa, training content teams in London, Washington DC and New York on best digital practice and improving their editorial processes for a digital-first workflow. I'm currently on contract to Aurora50, a Middle East DEI impact agency, where I focus on great SEO-rich content, research reports and regional and industry strategy, lead magnets, email newsletters, social media and Hubspot management As a freelance journalist, I have written more than 300 articles for The National (UAE) as well as writing for Red Bull, Love Money, MSN, Dubai Tourism, Expatra and the Women’s Institute. I am also a visiting lecturer at Royal Holloway, University of London, where I teach digital and content marketing. I've been an editor or editor-in-chief to six sites in the UK and UAE, and product manager to the launches or relaunches of a dozen. Notable roles have included being on the launch team for the Sky News website and editor-in-chief of Yahoo Middle East, with an audience of 50 million users.
