I'm a culinary wordsmith, non-fiction author and writing mentor. Born and raised in Pakistan, I am now based in Glasgow, Scotland. After a ten year career in law I turned to food writing and authored two award-winning cookbooks. I have now turned to a more narrative writing career with my first food memoir, Andaza published in April 2023, that won the Scottish Book Trust Next Chapter Award in 2021 for a book in progress. I write for online and print publications and am working on my next book idea. I offer one-to-one mentoring for aspiring authors and writers as well as a monthly online membership called QISSA that helps apsiring writers find flow and flourish as writers.
