He has managed large teams, driven coverage across the newsroom and has worked in the U.S. and Asia as a reporter, blogger, columnist, audience strategist and editor. He currently directs and drives Business Insider's coverage of business, technology, markets, finance, and innovation, overseeing more than 125 reporters and editors across the U.S., London, and Singapore. Previously, Steve was head of breaking news at the Journal, ensuring the biggest business, political and national news was covered with the speed and accuracy needed to tell these impactful stories. This team was central to the newsroom's efforts to grow readership and deepen engagement with readers. Steve briefly left journalism to work on Wall Street. He earned an MBA in finance from Baruch College and worked at Goldman Sachs in the firm's asset management division. He then rejoined the Journal, first in New York and then overseas as a foreign correspondent in Hong Kong, before returning to New York. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and lives in Manhattan with his wife and two sons.
