Claim your profileStephen Reiss is a photojournalist and a photo editor at The New York Times, where he develops visual strategy for the National and Investigations sections. Born in New York, Stephen graduated from Skidmore College and the Documentary Studies and Photojournalism Program at the International Center of Photography, where he was awarded the John and Annamaria Philips Foundation Scholarship for Photojournalism. He participated in the Eddie Adams XXIII, LOOKbetween, and received an NPPA short grant and a Magnum Foundation Emergency Fund Fellowship for his long-term work on foster care in the South Bronx. His work has been published by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, NPR and the Magnum Foundation.
