Claim your profileAt Germany's leading business magazine, WirtschaftsWoche, I enjoy working at the intersection of automotive/mobility industries and (clean) energy. I cover all aspects concerning: future mobility, especially #electricCars, #batteries, and clean #energy About 11 or 12 years ago, I became fascinated with the idea of better, CO2-free transportation. I quickly got wired, and I became one of the first journalists globally to analyze and describe the potential of BEVs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in individual mobility, and the widespread challenges to this concept. I later did some intensive research in virtually all adjacent fields, like mining of cobalt, lithium and nickel, the technology and economics of recycling those materials, providing "greener" electricity for cars, but also housing and industry, also decarbonization via other green energy like H2. In the "Featured" section of my profile, you find a small selection of my recent work.I have found my perfect sweetspot in this melange of sustainability and mobility tech. I have been fascinated with the rapidly growing opportunities of technology ever since I was a kid. Later, at Cologne University Technology and Sciences (TH Köln), I was lucky enough to be part of the first ever multi faculty team (design, IT Engineering and Applied Languages). We developped an interactive computer-based multi media language learning tool in 1995 and 1996. I was then hired by GartnerGroup, a leading tech consulting and analytics firm, which has given me access to great minds and the world of Information Technology. I later joined WirtschaftsWoche in order to become a "proper" Tech Journo rather than an editor and analyst. I am one lucky guy: Because I keep learning new things from brillant minds nearly every day in the most challenging yet stimulating areas of our time: Saving the planet with technonoly.
