In my more than 10 years as a professional journalist, I've attended utility district meetings and walked on hot coals. Upon discovering the professional value of cyber sleuthing, I got hooked on social media. I helped the Ledger-Enquirer newspaper (Columbus, Ga.), heighten its social media presence through initiatives like daily trivia questions and mystery food photos.After seven years at the Ledger-Enquirer, I drove across the country for a job as the Sacramento Business Journal's social engagement manager.
